Illegal Aliens
A nation without borders ceases to be a nation altogether. But this is not just a border state problem. When I toured the border (on my own dime) in the summer of 2024, I saw that the border wall only slowed down the invasion. We must remove the incentive to come here at all. That's where my bills come into play. Welfare
I wrote HB1908; it requires documentation of residency in Arkansas for at least 6 months before being eligible for welfare benefits. Currently, people who would take advantage of the system can move to Arkansas with no intention of ever working and sign up for our tax-funded benefits before they unpack. LGBT
I fought against LGBT lifestyles being promoted by public schools/institutions. In my first session (2023), I wrote “The Given Name Act” (HB1468/Act542). This new law protects the religious liberty of students, teachers, and professors; now they cannot be forced to call students by their “preferred pronouns.” It also gives parents the right to sue the school if the district tries to hide the fact that a child is involved in this activity while at school.
