I fought against LGBT lifestyles being promoted by

public schools/institutions.

In my first session (2023), I wrote “The Given Name Act” (HB1468/Act542). This new law protects the religious liberty of students, teachers, and professors; now they cannot be forced to call students by their “preferred pronouns.” It also gives parents the right to sue the school if the district tries to hide the fact that a child is involved in this activity while at school. At the time of its passage, it was the first and is still the strongest such protection in America. I co-sponsored HB1156/Act317, which now requires students to use a restroom and dressing room based on their sex at birth. I also co-sponsored HB1615/Act677, which now protects the religious liberty of business owners, e.g., wedding bakeries and photographers, from being forced to participate in ceremonies that violate their beliefs.
